The Talisker Whiskey Atlantic Challenge is the worlds toughest row! Teams of three, four, pairs or solo rowers set off from the Canary Islands towards the Caribbean and take on the challenge of the Atlantic Ocean.

Each team rows to raise money for their chosen charity. Frank Rothwell is not only rowing for Alzeimer’s Research but also, at 70 years old, will be the oldest person to row the Atlantic single handed!

Mark Slats is a name to keep an eye on. He broke the world recorded for a single-handed crossing in 2017/18 and now he is hungry to break the pair record alongside Kai Weidmer. The are raising money for a cause extremely close to Marks heart, The Antoni van Leeuwenhoek Foundation who work to research cheaper medicines to fight cancer.

The teams will take over 1.5million stroke, face over 20ft waves and raise millions of pounds for charity. What an awesome event!
