It’s here! YB Tracking’s new firmware is available for both the YB3 and YB3i devices. This firmware upgrade only applies to Mark III devices sold after November 2014. There are several reasons why we recommend upgrading your devices:

• Minor bug fixes - we’re always working hard to improve functionality and remove any persistent niggles.

• Battery calibration and usage - we have improved the charging process to help keep batteries properly calibrated, and the firmware update should also help improve battery life a little too.

• Improved Distress Mode - you now have the ability to set a different transmission rate which takes effect when you have pressed the red Alert button (on YB3 handheld units). This translates to faster transmissions when you are in trouble.

• It's fast and easy - you only need about 20 minutes to automatically install your new firmware, which is about as long as a lazy London business lunch or a hurried Greek freddo.

As a result of the new firmware, our manuals will be updated to reflect changes in both the YB3’s integrated menu as well as changes to the YBConnect App.
